Bavarian Nordic announces today that the Greater Copenhagen Development Council (Hovedstadens Udviklingsråd) has approved an appendix to the regional plan that allows for the establishment of vaccine manufacturing at the company’s Kvistgård facility. The Council concluded that Bavarian Nordic’s planned vaccine manufacturing operations would not significantly impact the environment.
The final milestone in the environmental approval process is the County of Frederiksborg’s (Frederiksborg Amt) requirements for vaccine manufacturing at the Kvistgård facility. A decision is expected in September. As soon as these requirements are known, installation of the technical systems and manufacturing equipment will begin.
