Anh-Tuan Nguyen, Research Associate
Working as Research Associate in the Immune Monitoring
group of the Research department in BN ImmunoTherapeutics since
April, 2008.
"I started at BN ImmunoTherapy in 2008 and have really valued
the experiences that I have gained since. As a research member of
the immunology group, I have the unique task of monitoring and
analyzing the patients in our various clinical trials for breast
cancer and prostate cancer.
One of the best appeals of my job has been to see how the novel
science that is unfolding in our lab can directly touch the lives
of the patients. Though I never get to meet the patients' faces, I
do get to witness how closely the work in the lab serves them on a
deeper, biological layer. It is therefore uniquely exciting and
humbling to know that every discovery can become a future cure for
others.
Moreover, working at the company has also empowered me
professionally. I have gotten the opportunities to expand my skill
sets while also learning more about cancer research. During my time
here, I have contributed on projects to develop new methods, to
test old paradigms, and to broaden our understanding of cancers.
Along the way, my skills and capabilities have grown. Thus,
Bavarian Nordic is an exciting place to be because you are only
limited by the strength of your ambitions."
