MVA-BN® Anthrax

MVA-BN® Anthrax is planned to enter Phase I clinical
trials in 2010

MVA-BN® Anthrax is a prophylactic vaccine candidate encoding
the Protective Antigen of Bacillus anthracis, the
bacterium that causes anthrax.
The development of such a vaccine offers a number of synergies -
both in the development and in market approach. It is expected that
a combined anthrax and smallpox vaccine can be developed and thus
Bavarian Nordic would be able to offer one vaccine against two of
the top biological threats.
