Bavarian Nordic is a leading global supplier of travel vaccines, with a commercial portfolio encompassing the following products:

  • Rabipur®/RabAvert® - rabies vaccine
  • Encepur® - tick-borne encephalitis vaccine
  • Vivotif® - typhoid vaccine
  • Vaxchora® - cholera vaccine

The travel vaccine portfolio further includes Ixiaro® (Japanese encephalitis) vaccine, Dukoral® (cholera vaccine) and HEPLISAV-B® (hepatitis A vaccine), all products that have been inlicensed from other companies and which are marketed and distributed by Bavarian Nordic in select markets.

We are furthermore a preferred partner to governments on vaccines for public preparedness, being a supplier to more than 70 countries of our smallpox/mpox vaccine:

  • JYNNEOS®/IMVANEX®/IMVAMUNE® - smallpox/mpox vaccine


Bavarian Nordic shares are traded on Nasdaq Copenhagen under the ticker symbol BAVA.

An ADR program has been established allowing U.S. investors to trade the stock locally on the OTC market under the ticker symbol BVNRY.

Bavarian Nordic has approximately 120,000 registered shareholders (March 2024).

Bavarian Nordic has 78,097,834 outstanding shares.

Bavarian Nordic has never declared dividends. 

In the short term, Bavarian Nordic’s main priority to use the cash generated to pay the significant milestones to GSK and Emergent BioSolutions which are
due in 2024 and 2025. In the mid-to long term, the Company expects to increase its financial flexibility through a strong positive cash flow and increased access to debt financing, which it intends to use to invest in growing the existing business, including the pipeline and selective acquisitions as well as return excess cash to its shareholders.

The Company’s register of shareholders is kept by Computershare A/S, who also maintains our shareholder portal.  If you are a registered shareholder, you can access the shareholder portal and view your holding of shares and register your e-mail address to receive certain electronic investor information. You can also request admission card and/or vote for the annual general meeting.
